    I Survived (Mostly)

I survived, for the most part. This week isn’t as important as the next following, as my exams and project are due ASAP

    Sigh

But I am still alive, which for the most part is a good thing.

    Still Kicking Around

What a Belgiuming horrible week! Not that I hate my life, job, school, etc… but what a depressingly horrible week. I try to think back on the month, but that is just as bad. I feel like I am crawling to the end of the semester, and everyone around me is rushing on all sides to the finish.

Hopefully once the semester ends I’ll be able to get together, but aggg. I will update!!! I do NOT want to sound like Marvin the Paranoid Android, but right now I am just too busy. I wanted to post to let anyone know that, yes, I will post again, but not this minute. Except that, well, I don’t know when the when will be.

I have plans for the site, but cannot act on them till I get some resat and I’m not going to get any rest till mid April. Until then…

    Busy, So So Busy

Too busy to post. To busy to eat. Too busy to breathe. Too busy to even stop for a moment and pause for a second, or contemplate what I just wrote.

Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy Stuff

Yes, I will be updating this post. Needed to get it in in case I forgot. Been very busy, all 3 of you who keep coming back to this site out of kindness, thank you! I’m writing the intro text now, but will actually have pictures to come. Very busy. If I finish my HW early, I’ll post ASAP. Then off to do more HW. Aggggggggggggggggggggggggggg.

A Helpful Guide to Upgrading Your Computer

My guide is in two parts - those with little computer experience, and those with too much*.

Unexperienced users: Buy an Apple. Whatever you do, do NOT buy a Dell.

Experienced users: Buy an Apple. You will need to get one, because the inexperienced user will always have problems, and will ask you all sorts of questions.

*much, defined as enough knowledge to be called every time something goes wrong with a computer.

    Not a Parody

    This:

    Glass
    Canon 20D + Bellows

is the photo I entered in the photo contest. It didn’t win. Do I care? Not really. The contest thumbnails were dynamically created - basically, they looked really really terrible. Had the thumbnail been nicer, would I have won? Probably not. But, since the thumbnail WAS horrible, it gave me an excuse to use it as an excuse.

    Cool Windmill Power Stuff

    Awesoma power!

Found this link while googling: OTHERPOWER.COM. As their site states, it surely is “The CUTTING EDGE of Low Technology.” Quite a fun site to look at, featuring a 15 foot diameter windmill blade, made from the trunk of a dead tree. I know, all wood comes from a dead tree trunk. Except this trunk they carved/milled themselves. Pretty cool.

I love the statement on their front page:

We are a group of alternative energy enthusiasts who want to spread the message that It’s EASY to make your own power FROM SCRATCH! Otherpower.com’s headquarters is located in a remote part of the Northern Colorado mountains, 15 miles past the nearest power pole or phone line. All of our houses and shops run on only solar, wind, water and generator power…not because we are trying to make some sort of political or environmental statement, but because these are the only options available. And we refuse to move to town.
